Learn the basics of how to throw a hatchet then practice on outdoor wooden targets.  All equipment is provided and closed-toed shoes are required for this activity.  Let the challenge begin!

Targets are located temporarily in the field across from the Visitor Center.  Check-in is located at the targets in the field and we recommend being there 5 minutes prior to the schedule time to meet with the guide.  It is sometimes necessary to walk through grass and other vegetation to retrieve hatchets so we recommend spraying clothing and shoes with an insect and tick repellent, especially during the spring and summer months.  Please dress appropriately for the expected weather conditions and consider bringing a bottle of water and a snack.

Expect the activity to take approximately 45 minutes.  We are unable to offer refunds for late arrivals or cancellations after the 24-hour window.  Please be considerate and respectful of other people that might be participating in the activity.

Hatchet Throwing is offered rain or shine but may be cancelled due to high winds, lightning, or other conditions determined to be unsafe.  Should this happen, we will either provide a full refund for the class or an option to reschedule.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change when on vacation and that weather is not always ideal for outdoor activities.  Because of this, we offer the option of canceling reservations for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance of the scheduled activity by following the instructions located in the confirmation email.
