The Maple Restaurant

What are the hours of your restaurant?

Our restaurant is open the following times:

Breakfast: 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Lunch: 11:30 PM to 3:00 PM
Dinner: 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM

We are open 365 days a year. Please call ahead for holiday times and offerings.

Are you serving a buffet or a la carte menu?

Business demands cause us to vary our offerings. We recommend contacting the restaurant directly at 706-344-1521 to inquire about specific dates. Due to last minute changes we cannot guarantee one or the other.

Should we make reservations for the restaurant?

Reservations are not required for parties of 10 or less for normal dining dates. We strongly suggest you make a reservation if you are coming with a party or more than 10. On our busier holidays such as Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving, we highly recommend reservations for any number of guests due to high demand.

Do you offer alcoholic beverages at the lodge and restaurant?

We have a full Georgia state liquor license and offer beer, wine and various spirits.

Weather

What is the weather like this time of year?

Our weather can vary wildly in each season. We recommend checking the 10-day forecast for Dawsonville, GA, before your stay or using a weather history site such as Weather Underground to make decisions on what to pack prior to your visit.

Hiking & Adventure Activities

What trails are available at Amicalola Falls State Park?

We have more than 14-miles of trails available in the park. Stop by the Visitor Center when you arrive for a complimentary map and suggestions from our friendly staff.

How far is the hike to the waterfalls?

Depending on where you would like to begin we have hikes to the waterfall of .3 miles to 2.1 miles.

There are three ways to access the falls.

  1. You can hike from the bottom of the park up 604 steps, stopping at our viewing platform halfway to the top. From there feel free to go back down the stairs or take a nice walk in the woods with our East Ridge trail, which adds up to just over two miles in length.
  2. You can access our ADA access West Ridge trail which is constructed from recycled rubber materials and is only 0.3 miles in length.
  3. You can park at the very top of the falls and look over plunge point to see an amazing view of the valley and mountains beyond. You can walk down the stairs to the viewing platform and back up or exit through the West Ridge Trail if you have a separate vehicle waiting.

How long does it take to hike to Springer Mountain?

The hike to Spring Mountain is 8.5 miles from our Visitor Center. Depending on your level of fitness it could take from several hours to a full day to reach Springer Mountain. We ask that you please plan accordingly.
