Fall is Always in Season at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge
With school now in session across the country, the summer vacation season has officially ended. This is great news for young couples planning a weekend getaway in Georgia or empty nesters with time for a weekday escape to the North Georgia Mountains. At Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge, all of the same great amenities guests have come to love are always available, no matter the time of year.
Never too Early to Book for Fall
The changing of the leaves is a rite of passage at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge. Year after year, we continue to be a hotspot for travelers seeking the natural wonder of fall foliage and the tallest waterfall in Georgia. The reds, oranges, yellows and shades of brown that radiate through the forest provide an annual sight that feels like it’s a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence, every time.
The fall season is extremely popular in the area around Dawsonville, GA. So, while it’s still weeks away, it’s best to book your stay at Amicalola Falls before we’re completely sold out. We have a variety of accommodations for overnight guests to choose from based on their needs and desires.
Empty nesters take note: all guests 62 or older will receive a 20% discount when they use the Senior Discount Rate at booking. Act now before this limited-time offer expires.
If you choose to stay in our Georgia mountain resort lodge, know that every room in the hotel has a wide view of the enchanting fall landscape. The Georgia State Park cabins are tucked among the changing trees, while the campsites provide RV or tent campers with a fresh, crisp shot of fall mountain air each morning. Whatever overnight accommodation you choose – you’ll get nature right outside your tent zipper, cabin rental door, or lodge window.
Make Memories in the Maple
The Maple Restaurant, known for its stunning Amicalola Falls Park views, recently welcomed a new named section of the restaurant – the Mountainview Bar. Not only has the bar area been updated, it’s also been upgraded. Patrons can now sample finely crafted cocktails and local craft beers and catch a game on a flat screen TV, all while they gnosh on Maple favorites and take in the fall foliage.
Serving American and Southern classic cuisine, the Maple Restaurant offers an a la carte’ menu 7 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week. We encourage all guests – whether they’re staying in the lodge, a cabin or campsite – to take a seat and become enchanted by the dramatic sunset and changing leaves from the Maple Restaurant and new Mountainview Bar.
Can’t Make it this Fall? Consider the Holidays
If your fall calendar has already filled up, don’t fret. The holiday season at Amicalola State Park & Lodge is an exciting and event-filled time of year. The lodge hosts a popular Thanksgiving meal, numerous destination weddings, countless holiday parties, a Christmas open house, and a New Year’s Eve celebration as the calendar turns. And don’t forget the annual display of over 400 Nutcracker figures. Stop by the lodge between December and a few days after the New Year to pick out your favorite.
